Advanced Massage

Massage techniques have been used for thousands of years by a variety of cultures to assist the human body to work more effectively. Blood supply to the skin and muscles is improved and toxins are removed. Tensions can be released and mobility increased.

Remedial massage works the tissues on a deeper level and may be used to assist in the recovery and management of both acute and chronic conditions.

A treatment can last from 30 to 60 minutes and costs from £20 to £35.

Aromatherapy

The Egyptians and other ancient civilisations have all used the therapeutic powers of plants. As well as enhancing health and beauty and having physical benefits to the body, the essential oils have subtle effects on the mind and emotions. A full consultation is undertaken between therapist and client to ensure that the correct oils are picked for the specific needs of the individual. Only the highest quality of essential oils are used and the client can choose the level of treatment from an aromatherapy foot bath to a full body massage. The treatment can either be uplifting or relaxing - you choose.

Prices Range from £15 to £45.

Indian Head Massage

Dr. Narendra Mehta came to the UK in the 1970’s from India and missed the benefits of the regular Indian Head Massage. He decided that Western society may benefit from these traditional techniques and set about developing his own specific method. Indian Head Massage can be used as an effective stress management programme. The original techniques performed in India have been developed to become more westernised and include massage to areas that are most vulnerable to stress and tension, such as the head, neck, shoulders, face and scalp. Indian Head Massage has many benefits and regular treatments can prove beneficial in releasing the strains and tensions of every day life. Hair condition usually improves as can headaches, insomnia and other stress related disorders.

Treatment lasts for approximately 45 minutes and costs £28.

Reflexology

The human foot is a map of the human body and a reflexology session works on various pressure points on the foot to give a full body treatment. This is a holistic treatment as it works all treatments and it restores the body’s natural equilibrium. The treatment can be beneficial for many ailments and can be either relaxing or invigorating. Clients often report improved sleeping patterns and release of tensions. Hand, face and abdominal reflexology are also available.

Treatment lasts from 20 minutes to an hour and costs between £15 and £30.

Reiki

This traditional Japanese technique was lost to the world for many years before being rediscovered by Dr Usui in the later part of the 19th Century. Reiki means universal life force energy and a treatment works on the individuals mind, body and spirit. This gentle therapy is carried out with the individual being fully clothed and lying on a treatment couch. The treatment is non invasive.

Treatment lasts between 50 minutes to 75 minutes and costs between £25 and £30.

Hopi Ear Candling

Thermal Auricular Therapy (also known as Hopi Ear Candles) is a pleasant and non-invasive treatment of the ears, used to treat a variety of conditions. These ear candles induce a revitalising heat upon the head and ears, which soothes, relieves and relaxes. The candles work on the chimney principle, drawing any impurities to the surface where they can be gently removed. They equalise the pressure in the head and ears, making them suitable for conditions such as excessive or compacted earwax, irritation in ears, sinusitis, rhinitis, glue ear, colds, headaches and migraine. Stimulation of local and reflex energy flow. Energetic revitalisation in some cases of hearing impairment. Relaxing and calming effect in cases of stress. Noises in the ears such as ringing and tinnitus.

Treatment lasts for approximately 45 minutes and costs £25.
